DESEO CARMIN: Fusion Flamenco with Classical & Rock Guitar

DESEO CARMIN features international star Stella Rossi who hails from Paraguay. Rossi is the driving force behind Deseo Carmin and is a multi-faceted artist whose passion ignites the stage with singing, dance and instrumentation. Andrei Stomma is a virtuoso rooted in the rich musical tradition of Saint Petersburg, Russia. Stomma navigated vibrant punk and rock scenes of Russia and Scandinavia. He has collaborated with prestigious organizations like the Bolshoi Ballet and the Moscow Circus. As a founding member of Deseo Carmin, Stomma brings his unique blend of technical brilliance. Show opens with a performance by David Welch, the leader of the Oregon Chapter of Guitars 4 Vets. Welch will perform original works. Guitars 4 Vets is a nationwide program that delivers free guitar lessons to current and former military personnel, including awarding veterans with a free guitar upon course completion.

On the International Music Day (October 1), enjoy two outstanding shows inside one of Oregon’s favorite music houses: McMenamins Old Church, located in the city of Wilsonville. At 7:15pm, Syco Billy’s String Band takes the stage to bring original French-influenced newgrass/folk music. After that, Arietta Ward (aka Mz. Etta) brings original funk soul music that makes her Portland’s favored Funk Diva, along with a dynamic four-piece band.
