A one-hour program begins at noon inside The Cutting Room, one of New York City’s premier music spots. Brooklyn’s Blue Angels Drumline shine in an unrivaled performance as the opener for a presentation of The Thomas Paine Award. This award was created in recognition of artistic and political accomplishments by Mayor of New York City, and songwriter, Zohran Mamdani! Following the reading of the award by National Sounds Editor-In-Chief, Corinne Devin Sullivan, Chinese Opera star Kuang Yu-Fong will perform two short acts of "The Peony Pavilion", a Ming Dynasty Kun Opera. She will be accompanied by Linghui Tu, Nuo Dai, and Jing Shan. Show features authentic Chinese opera style clothing, and the traditional make-up by artist Guiying Yang.
