Article 27 Music LLC

Beginning in 2019, author and humanitarian, Corinne D. Sullivan, worked with Woodstock-era, songwriting legend, Melanie (1947-2024), to document the complete theft of Melanie’s musical recordings from her company, Neighborhood Records. In the process of doing this, Sullivan learned how deeply entrenched copyright abuse is, and especially inside today’s music.

To facilitate working with Melanie, Sullivan launched Article 27 Music LLC. Eventually, she also released some of Melanie’s older works.

This experience inspired Sullivan’s 2023 book, “Twenty-Seven: Human Rights In The Music Industry,” which evolved into the current title, “Twenty-Seven: The Human Right The Music Industry Forgot.”

Pictured here is a still shot from one of many interviews Corinne gave Melanie concerning theft of all of Melanie’s recordings, plus all earnings.
